1. Loose bracket / dish moves in wind E48-32
What you'll see: Signal that degrades on windy days and shifts permanently after storms; visible dish wobble by hand.
Why it happens: Worked-loose or undersized anchors, crushed wall plugs, or a bracket spec too light for the site's wind exposure.
How we fix it: Re-anchoring with correct fixings for the wall type, or bracket replacement rated for the load — followed by a fresh metered alignment. This ends the "realign every February" cycle at its cause.
2. Rusted fasteners and bracket
What you'll see: Rust streaks down the wall, seized adjustment bolts, a bracket flaking to the touch.
Why it happens: Mild-steel hardware in coastal air — the standard failure of bargain installations near the sea.
How we fix it: Replacement with galvanised or stainless hardware before the corrosion becomes structural. Seized adjusters also block future alignment work, so this is maintenance that pays twice.
3. Mast not plumb
What you'll see: A dish that never quite holds peak alignment; every adjustment session ends at "good enough".
Why it happens: The mast was installed off-vertical, so the dish's azimuth and elevation adjustments interact instead of working independently.
How we fix it: Re-plumb or re-mount the mast with a level, then align from scratch. Twenty minutes of foundation work that makes every future adjustment precise.
4. Broken wall plugs / failing anchors
What you'll see: A bracket pulling proud of the wall, cracked plaster around bolts, movement you can feel.
Why it happens: Wrong anchor type for the wall material, over-torqued fixings, or age.
How we fix it: New anchor points correctly matched to the substrate — sometimes a short bracket relocation to sound wall. Done before the dish and bracket end up on the lawn, ideally.
